Victoria College students part of this year’s Troupe

Victoria College students Landon Bryson and Caitie Collins on stage

We may be “La Troupe des Anciens” — the Alumni Troupe — but we also have two second-year students at Victoria College in the University of Toronto, both with French language and linguistics as part of their programs of study, as actors this year. Landon Bryson is playing Octave in Scapin’s Deceits, returning after having played Cléonte in The Would-be Gentleman last year. Caitie Collins is joining us for the first time and is playing Marie in A Week in the Country by Jules Renard. We are proud of the long tradition of the Troupe offering students — and adults alike — the opportunity to take part in French in the classics of the theatre.

Join us this evening, Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 8 PM, at the George Ignatieff Theatre as Landon, Caitie and the rest of the Troupe take to the stage one last time this year for the final performance of A Week in the Country and Scapin’s Deceits. Consult the information page and contact the box office for tickets.

I have been a member of La Troupe des Anciens since playing a role in the 1988 performance of “The Love Doctor” (« L’Amour médecin »). It has been a pleasure acting on stage, improving my French, and — more recently — providing IT support to La Troupe.
