Our 2014 show in French is Moli\u00e8re\u2019s celebrated The Learned Ladies<\/em> (Les Femmes savantes<\/em>).\u00a0The Learned Ladies<\/em> is a five-act comedy of manners in verse that premiered on March 11, 1672 at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Palais-Royal in Paris. It is considered a masterpiece and is one of\u00a0Moli\u00e8re\u2019s most popular comedies.<\/p>\n

We are giving two performances, on Friday and Saturday, April 11 & 12, 2014, at 8 PM at the George Ignatieff Theatre on the downtown campus of the University of Toronto. A one-page summary of the play in English (see also below) as well as projected surtitles in English will be available at both shows. You can purchase tickets on-line<\/a>, with seats assigned following a consultation with our box office staff; or you can contact our box office by telephone<\/a> weekdays 11 AM \u2013 5 PM, starting March 31, 2014. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the performances with payment by cash only.<\/p>\n
