Our 2024 show in French is Moli\u00e8re\u2019s celebrated The Imaginary Invalid <\/em>(\u201cLe Malade imaginaire\u201d<\/em>). The Imaginary Invalid<\/em> is a three-act comedy-ballet in prose that premiered on February 10, 1673 at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Palais-Royal<\/a> in Paris. It is Moli\u00e8re\u2019s last work as he collapsed during the fourth performance playing the lead role and later died. Original music for the play was by Marc-Antoine Charpentier<\/a>, and choreography by Pierre Beauchamp<\/a>, with whom Moli\u00e8re had worked previously on such plays as The Would-be Gentleman<\/em> (\u201cLe Bourgeois gentilhomme\u201d<\/em>). We will give two performances, on Friday and Saturday, April 26 & 26, 2027, at 7:30 PM at The Arts and Letters Club in downtown Toronto. One-page summaries of both plays in English (soon below) as well as projected surtitles in English will be available at both shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can purchase (reserve and pay for) tickets online<\/a> immediately. Seats will be selected by our box office staff starting April 15, 2024 at the latest, in the order in which the online purchases were made. Your tickets will be held at the theatre entrance the night of your show until you arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seats will be selected by our box office staff starting April 15, 2024 at the latest, in the order in which the online purchases were made. Your tickets will be held at the theatre entrance the night of your show until 30 minutes before show time (show time is 7:30 PM, thus until 7 PM), with payment by cash or cheque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
