We are looking for actors

We are urgently looking for two actors to the play roles in our April 2025 production in French of the comedy The Would-be Gentleman by Molière.

The first actor is needed to play the role of Cléonte, the young lover. The person should be male, between 20 and 40 years old. The role is brief, appearing at the end of Act III and for a few lines at the end of the play in Act V. In our Troupe’s history, the role has often been played by someone performing for the first time.

The second role we are looking to fill is that of the Music Master, who figures in the first and second acts. Here we are looking for a male actor of any age.

If you are interested, please contact us.

Happy New Year!

After presenting an annual show, without fail, for half a century, the Troupe des Anciens was forced to disappoint you — our loyal public — and cancel the performances of Tartuffe that had been scheduled for April 2020. However, we have not given up on theatre, and hope to be able to invite you to our next show in the not too distant future.

We greatly appreciate your loyalty as, without your support, there would be no Troupe des Anciens. We wish you and yours a Happy New Year, one in which the virus that is affecting us all is no more than a distant memory.
